Day –off in Paradise
I don’t know I kind of distance away from working in resort hotels. I enjoyed the thrill and high action of city hotels. Once my teacher in hotel school said when a hotelier needs a break from the hustle and bustle he does 2 things either he teaches or works in a resort.
Day off, today I simply slept in late and late to me now is 9 am then catch up with some housekeeping of my apartment then I simply walked to the beach a dove in to the sea water. The sun was up but the water was cool even the white sand.
My day off sounds like vacation to some. I get to snorkel, ride banana boat and Jet Ski for free while others pay good money to do the same But being away from your family do sink in once in a while.
For dinner I walked to the nearby Japanese grocery about 6pm knowing that they have a sale then that’s the cheapskate in me (you can only eat only so much Hotel food).
I got a smoke salmon sandwich, tuna & salmon sashimi and green iced tea for $5.00. I enjoyed my dinner while watching Saving Private Ryan DVD.
I felt so recharged. I have very simple wants.
Right now I am enjoying life’s simple pleasure by the way sashimi anyone.
