Walk in the forest

Tuesday, June 27th, 2006

Today was a beautiful day , having time between classes. I had time to walk around. To admire the beauty of summer in Ithaca. I packed my Journal, camera and bottle of water and walked for an hour in the trails leading to Cornell Plantations most of the flowers are still in bloom. I have very fond memories of walking trails during summers in Ontario. Today was no exception. I had time to reflect on things in my life paths I have taken paths I have not. Hindsight is the clear judge of my actions. Yet it is up to me on how to take its lessons.

I took time to sit overlooking the path I walked and realize I have a long way to go

Kobe Altena

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

I received from a Japanese guest a gift. That gift was a delicacy in Kobe Japan. It called a Kobe Altena cake. It’s a green tea sponge cake with a layer of chestnuts and chocolate. The package itself was beautiful drawstring wrapped the box and inside another layer of hand packaging. I read somewhere that the Japanese consumer was very picky about packaging that even a letter was even off on its alignment by millimeters the product would not sell. They believe if the packing was bad then the product was bad also.

Well this cake passes all the marks. The cake was delicate nothing overpowering in taste even the chocolate in the bottom part was not sweet rather still has that dark flavor of chocolate yet not enough to offset the hint of green tea flavor and chestnuts.

It was a great gift for me I had to share the cake with my staff not after keep a whole cake for myself heehaw. Hope to get some when I pass by Japan this week

Mac and me at the Beach.

Thursday, June 15th, 2006

It just one of those days I ll simply got my ibook and went to the beach and type. I started to type gibberish . Then toughts came to play and a poem emerged. I have not  written anything poetic for a long time. Writing poems always made me relax. anyways I got to  relax and get a tMacan . while my ibook still chugging along . I enjoy the freedom of the 12 inch ibook , rather me carring my hefty Gateway laptop which I swear feels like a ton to carry.

Anyways just enjoying the breeze before I embark on another voyage.

Today while going to bathroom i hit my knee on something . Ouch next thing I knew I caught the corner of the tupperware tub. It had my scuba gear in it.

I already have a small pad as is where I live. I could not even beileve I muster the gear I had. Thats with hobbies they tend to build on you.  Dont even ask how much other gear I have. I have more buys on ebay then selling ha.

Anyways I could always move the the scuba gear to the bedroom duh I cant  thats where my mountain bike resides. Oh well aleast my hobby is more exciting then stamp collecting.
